Factory Reset
On this page
Factory reset is performed by placing a trigger file on a USB disk. The device reads it on next boot and applies the requested reset level.
How to perform a reset
- Power off the device and remove the USB disk.
- On the USB disk, create a file named
go_default.jsonin the root directory. - Write the following JSON content into the file:
{
"network": true,
"factory": true
}
- Insert the USB disk back and power on the device.
Reset options
You can use either key independently or combine them:
| Key | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
network | true | Resets all network settings to factory defaults (IP addresses, gateway, DNS). See the First Boot section for the default IP configuration. Data and projects are kept. |
factory | true | Full factory reset — wipes all stored data, projects, and configuration. The device will be completely clean after reboot. Network is also reset, even without setting network: true. |
Network reset only
To reset only the network settings (data and projects are kept):
{
"network": true
}
Full factory reset
To wipe everything including network settings — factory: true alone is sufficient:
{
"factory": true
}
Warning: A full factory reset (
"factory": true) is irreversible. All stored runtime data, projects, and configuration will be permanently deleted.
